Coaching
Coaching is about working alongside you to identify problems or things that you want to improve and providing you with the tools, support and expertise to make lasting changes. This may be in relation to your life generally, issues at work, or in your close relationships.

Life Coaching
Whether it is a specific issue in your life or simply a general feeling that you are not as happy as you might be, there are things we can do to bring about improvements such as:
- changing unhelpful habits (of thinking or behaviour)
- managing self-defeating thoughts
- establishing routines which promote your well-being
- creating balance between your need to achieve and be productive, the need to stay safe and the vital place of relaxation and connecting with others. These three elements are essential for our well-being.
- understanding your past and learning to use difficult events from the past to achieve your own goals.
- building a stronger, more positive, self-image.
Work
Your work/career may not be going as you would wish. Sometimes we may feel that our good work is being overlooked, or that others are receiving better treatment or recognition. If we are in a management role, we may be struggling to help others see what we need them to do. We may think we lack the experience or skills to apply for certain posts.
Frequently these difficulties stem from the complex psychological aspects that are present in all work environments. We may ourselves bring certain habits of thinking and behaving into the workplace which are unhelpful for us. Equally, other people may react to you in ways which are the result of previous experiences they have had. Understanding ourselves, and others can relieve us of huge, unnecessary burdens and allow you to achieve more of your goals.
Using established techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Coaching will allow you to overcome these difficulties, whether they are in relation to yourself and your confidence or your personal skills, or whether it is about improving the performance of your organisation.
Relationships
The quality of our relationships is key to our general health, well-being and happiness. It can be very complex – each person can bring all the thoughts, knowledge and emotions from their previous experiences in life. Most of the time these things are very helpful, but sometimes you may feel that the relationship lacks balance, that you are not properly listened to, or feel overly grateful. It can be enormously difficult to gain insight into an unhealthy, perhaps controlling relationship and even more difficult to change or end it.
Effective coaching can help you come to a balanced, and helpful way of seeing your relationship and achieve a greater level of compassion and positive regard for yourself which will allow you to create the changes you want.
