I am a qualified and experienced CBT therapist, and previously had many years’ experience of successful senior leadership jobs in Children’s services , retiring as Director of Children’s services and Education. As a Psychology graduate, I have an MBA and qualifications in Social work and in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
I have many years’ experience as a CBT therapist for the NHS and private clients and also coaching leaders and individuals. The people I work with achieve high levels of change and recovery. All of my sessions are done virtually. Research shows that these are equally effective as face-to-face. Many people prefer this ; it saves time and means we can work together wherever you are based.
At the centre of what I do, is my individual therapeutic/coaching relationship with you. My experience of trauma and adversity, knowledge and training allows me to draw on a wide range of disciplines to help you achieve the changes you want to see in your work, in your relationships, or in your general well-being and sense of living your life to the fullest.
My personal motivation is to help individuals achieve their best. Often what hold us back is the influence of past events. Such things can result not only in established conditions, such as:
- PTSD and Depression
- Reduced self-confidence
- Unhealthy levels of anxiety
- “Imposter syndrome”
- “Self sabotage”
- Emotional numbness
- and many other things
We sometimes believe this is just the way we are, have always been and cannot change. My experience has shown that through the proper use of the right techniques in coaching, therapy and leadership individuals can literally turn their lives around.
I look forward to working with you to help you make that change, whether it be making you more effective and happy at work, dealing with difficulties that are affecting your social life and relationships, or just being even happier with everything that you are already.
